I think it’s good to switch around once in awhile. Focusing on one area or topic can cause you to burn out. A specialization vacation?

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with writing or researching something without knowing how to pronounce it.

Una –
I absolutely agree with you, which is why I have until now avoided working on regions outside my expertise (ie, Africa). Since at this point reading about Bosnia is unavoidable for the project I am working on, I am doing my absolute best to learn as much about the region and its peoples. I would love to hear more about it from the perspective of a Sarajevan, and would be grateful as well for any sources you can recommend.

Dear blogger,

I mean this in the nicest way possible so please do not take offense. However, I believe that it is important to point out that Bosnia is currently in the mess it is at least partially because people who “couldn’t pronounce or even spell” our names decided to create our “democracy” (read Dayton, read international involvement in conflict).
